Underwood Announces Northern Illinois Residents and Businesses Impacted by Tornado Damage are Eligible for Small Business Administration Disaster Loans
WEST CHICAGO— Today, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) announced northern Illinois families and businesses impacted by recent tornado and storm damage may apply for disaster loan assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The disaster declaration issued by the SBA on July 19 covers DuPage County and the adjacent counties of Cook, Kane, Kendall, and Will in Illinois.
“Following the recent storm and tornado damage in northern Illinois, I met with first responders, local officials, and families to see the damage first-hand. It was devastating, and families and businesses who lost everything continue to need support for long-term recovery,” said Underwood. “I encourage Illinois residents and businesses eligible to apply to the disaster loan assistance available through the Small Business Administration.”
