"Prescription drugs don't work if you can't afford them, yet too many Illinois families are struggling with high costs, and many must go without the medications they need. It's dangerous and unacceptable."
Congresswoman Underwood is fighting to lower the cost of prescription drugs for hardworking Illinois families. Underwood recently introduced a five point plan to reduce the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs which include reducing out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs, negotiating lower drug prices, eliminating price hikes, ensuring generics remain affordable options, and investing in research for tomorrow’s cures. Each concept in Underwood’s proposal has bipartisan support.
