JOLIET – Today, Representative Lauren Underwood (IL-14), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, announced the projects in the 14th District submitted for consideration for Community Project Funding in FY2027.
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Representatives Lauren Underwood, Alma Adams (D-NC-12), and Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), introduced the bicameral resolution recognizing April 11 through April 17 as Black Maternal Health Week. This resolution serves to bring national attention to the maternal health crisis in the United States and the critical need to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity rates among Black mothers.
WASHINGTON —Today, Rep. Lauren Underwood’s legislation to rename the Plainfield Post Office in honor of Staff Sergeant Jose Dueñez Jr. passed the House of Representatives with unanimous bipartisan support. The House-passed bill will now be sent to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
