January 21, 2020

Event at Underwood’s West Chicago and Woodstock offices is an opportunity to thank local veterans for their service

WEST CHICAGO—Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) invites residents and families in the 14th District of Illinois to participate in "Valentines for Vets," an opportunity to send valentines to local veterans. Residents are welcome to drop off cards at Underwood's West Chicago or Woodstock office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. through February 10, 2020. Cards placed in envelopes should not be sealed.

"Every day our community is grateful for the service and sacrifice of our local veterans," said Underwood. "Veterans make our community stronger, and in order to make sure these sacrifices are never forgotten, it's up to us to make sure all veterans have the resources they need to live healthy lives through the benefits they have earned. Ahead of Valentine's Day, please join me in sharing our gratitude with those who have served to protect our freedom and way of life."

Congresswoman Underwood's West Chicago and Woodstock offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT. For additional information on the Valentines for Vets program, please call Congresswoman Underwood's Office at (630) 549-2190.
