WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) introduced the Farmers to Families Act, bipartisan legislation co-led by Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ-02), and the New Markets for Farmers and Families Act. Together, these bills expand opportunities for farmers to sell their products and increase our community’s access to healthy, fresh, and local food.
WASHINGTON – Representative Lauren Underwood, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, announced that she has secured $2,565,000 in Community Project Funding to support food security in the Illinois Valley, rural health care, and the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in DeKalb.
WASHINGTON – This week, the House of Representatives will vote on extending the expired advance premium tax credits for three more years – legislation introduced by Rep. Underwood based on her Health Care Affordability Act.
