WASHINGTON—Today, Representative Lauren Underwood released the following statement after the Supreme Court decision in Trump v. Barbara, upholding birthright citizenship:
WASHINGTON—Representative Lauren Underwood, a registered nurse, introduced legislation to lower the cost of health care for working families. The Primary and Behavioral Health Care Access Act would require private insurance plans to cover three annual primary care visits and three annual outpatient mental health or substance use disorder visits without charging a copayment, coinsurance, or deductible-related fee. The legislation is co-led by Representative Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) and Senator Angus King (ME).
WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Lauren Underwood released a new report detailing the impact and success of her Farmers Fighting Climate Change Act since the legislation was signed into law four years ago. Since 2022, the law made sure farmers are paid for their contributions to our nation’s climate solutions and has led to a substantial increase in conservation on American farmland nationwide.
