WASHINGTON – This week, Rep. Lauren Underwood’s bipartisan legislation that would require new Amtrak trains to be equipped with baby changing stations in restrooms, the Baby Changing On Board Act, passed the Senate with unanimous support. The legislation passed the House unanimously in May, 2025, and is co-led by Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) and Senators Peter Welch (D-VT) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). Minor technical adjustments were made to the legislation in the Senate, so it must return to the House for a vote before it can be sent to the President’s desk and be signed into law.
