Rep. Underwood Appointed to the House Committee on Education & Labor
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Lauren Underwood (IL-14) made the following statement after she was appointed by her colleagues to serve on the House Committee on Education & Labor for the 116th Congress.
“I am both honored and thrilled to be appointed to serve on the House Committee on Education & Labor. I look forward to using my experience as a nurse and health policy advisor to advance policies that will improve the lives of the people of the IL-14 ,” said Congresswoman Lauren Underwood. “This includes making health care and prescription drugs more affordable, addressing the rising cost of higher education, and advancing paid family leave.
