Underwood Announces $1.1 Million in Federal Investment for Early Childhood Education in West DuPage
WASHINGTON— Today, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded Educare of West DuPage an additional $1,108,315 in federal grant funding for early childhood education programs. Educare of West DuPage is a part of a national network of schools partnered with Early Head Start funding to ensure more children in the state of Illinois have access to early education.
“When we invest in children, we invest in families, communities, and our future economy all at once,” said Underwood. “Educare is doing incredible work in our community to ensure kids thrive, I look forward to seeing them build upon their efforts with this federal investment.”
In April, Educare West DuPage received grant funding from the expansion of early childhood education programs.
