Underwood Announces Town Halls in Naperville, Batavia, and DeKalb
WEST CHICAGO – Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) will host an August town hall series in Naperville, Batavia, and DeKalb. These town hall meetings serve as an opportunity for Underwood to share updates on her work in Congress, including legislation she has passed that cuts costs for the 14th District, the $10.5 million she secured in Community Project Funding, and her Health Care Affordability Act, which will lower health care costs for northern Illinois families. The town halls are also a forum where residents of the 14th District can ask questions and share their perspectives on issues.
“Listening to my community is the most important part of my job,” said Underwood. “Understanding their priorities helps me best represent them in Washington. I look forward to engaging with my community at these August town halls!”
