Underwood on Killing of Illinois Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Keltner

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) released the following statement after an Illinois sheriff's deputy was killed in an act of gun violence.

"I'm terribly sad to learn McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Keltner died after being shot while on duty. Our law enforcement officers represent the best of us—people who work hard to make our communities better and keep us safe, and often run toward violence when others run away. My thoughts are with the victim's family and Deputy Keltner's colleagues at this time."
