Underwood to Meet with Constituents in Mobile Office Hours in Sycamore and Batavia

First in series of in-person and virtual summer office hours in each of the 14th District of Illinois’ the seven counties

Opportunity for 14th District residents to meet with Underwood to share concerns and ask questions

WEST CHICAGO— Today, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) announced that she will hold mobile office hours on Saturday, August 8 in Sycamore and on Monday, August 10 in Batavia. These office hours are the first in a series of in-person and virtual office hours to be held in each of the 14th District's seven counties during the month of August. The mobile office hours will serve as an opportunity for residents of the 14th District to meet with Underwood to hear an update on her work in Congress, share concerns, and ask questions. Staff will be available to assist with issues like federal grant applications, Medicare benefits, military benefits, Social Security issues, and more. Mobile office hours are a part of Underwood's commitment to representing her district in a transparent, accountable, and accessible way. In the coming weeks, Underwood will host additional office hours in McHenry, Will, Lake, DuPage, and Kendall counties, as well as online. For safety and efficiency, all attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP for an available time slot to meet with Underwood.

All attendees are required to wear masks and will be expected to follow coronavirus social distancing guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available for all attendees. Designated seating and standing areas 6 feet apart will be provided during the meeting. Any resident of the 14th District who has coronavirus symptoms or has had recently been exposed to someone with coronavirus symptoms should not attend.
