WASHINGTON— Today, in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Representatives Lauren Underwood (IL-14) and Angie Craig (MN-02), and a group of 16 freshman Democratic members advocated for the inclusion of their legislative solutions to make health care more affordable in the next Congressional coronavirus relief package. In the letter, Members commended Speaker Pelosi for including provisions to lower the cost of insurance premiums in the Take Responsibility for Workers and Families Act and urged the Speaker to include those policies in upcoming legislation.

WEST CHICAGO— Today, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) announced that the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded over $12.2 million in federal funding to communities in the 14^th District. The Coronavirus Community Resource Guide includes contact information for federal, state, and local agencies leading response efforts; resources for students, veterans, senior citizens, families, and small business owners impacted by the virus; and an overview of Underwood's work in Congress in response to COVID-19.
