Underwood's ACE Veterans Act would expand veterans' access to a full year's supply of contraception

WASHINGTON— Today, Representative Lauren Underwood (IL-14) announced the passage of legislation she strongly supported to rebuild America's infrastructure. The Moving Forward Act (H.R. 2) would invest more than $1.5 trillion in modern, sustainable, infrastructure while creating millions of jobs, combatting the climate crisis and addressing disparities in urban, suburban and rural communities across Illinois and throughout the country.

WASHINGTON— Today, Representative Lauren Underwood's (IL-14) legislation, the Climate and Health Protection Act, was included in the Unveiling of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis' comprehensive congressional climate action framework. The Committee's framework highlights Underwood's proposal to strengthen national public health planning by reinstating the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Climate and Health Program, an important tool in communities' response to the climate crisis.

WASHINGTON— Last week, Representative Lauren Underwood (IL-14) joined fellow members of the House Rural Broadband Task Force to introduce legislation to improve broadband access and ensure affordable internet to more Americans. The Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act (H.R. 7302), would invest $100 billion in federal resources to build high-speed broadband infrastructure in unserved and underserved communities and ensure that the resulting internet service is affordable.
